Course
Description
Intro To Racing is designed for the experienced
sailor who would like to become a competent
member of a yacht racing team. The goal of this
3 session course is to provide the student with
a firm foundation in racing rules, tactics,
strategy and boat handling skills needed for
a successful yacht racing campaign. Intro To
Racing is taught aboard J/24 sloops with a maximum
of 4 students per boat.
Course
Format
Intro To Racing consists
of one 3 hour classroom session plus four Tuesday
evening Onboard Racing sessions. Tuesday evening
Race Boats leave the dock at 6:00 p.m.
